Bathtime LO

I think I get better and better the more time I spend on here. I just feel like my pages are too open, like they need more. Feel free to critique this. It looks lighter in the picture than in real life, guess cause of the flash. I traced and hand cut all letters and duckies. Smile Guess it's the bordering and page decor that it lacks? I'm a minimalist though, so I guess my pages depict that also. Smile Hmmm...

I like it though, and think it's my best so far...believe it or not. Smile

Very cute!

I used to have the problem of my pages being too bare (I am a very simple scrapper). I used to scrap 12x12 like you did but always felt like they just needed something more. I ended up switching the size I scrap to 8.5x11 and now I never feel like my pages are too bare. I love the smaller space (and the cheaper albums).

I like it! I can't believe you hand cut all those things! The only thing I might add that doesn't add 'clutter' (iykwim) is maybe a matte under the photos. I really love the flowers you have on there!

wow, I'm amazed that you hand cut all of that! you did a great job.

I agree with Trina, I think you should mat the pictures. Is there any journaling you'd want to add? Something to read 20 years from now when you're looking at this page, memories of a special bath routine?

I love it! You did a much better job than I would have done on those duckies. I do agree with matting your photos, it draws the eyes to them more I think.

I'm the exact opposite of Ashley, I always felt I was trying to cram too much on an 81/2x11 so I switched to 12x12. I like the openness of the bigger pages.

How did you do the duckies? They are just too cute. Did you have a stencil to trace, or did you do those free-hand?

I love it! The only thing is maybe matting the photos like the others' said, but it looks fine to me.

I googled rubber duck silhouette online and traced it right off my computer onto white paper, then traced them onto that other paper. Smile

Thanks guys. Yeah, I thought about matting pics, but I'm not great with that. Do you usually use other scrap paper to mat with or construction paper? The ducks were the easiest to cut out, it's those darn letters that take forever!! Smile

That's great! I have some "scrap paper" that is smaller sizes that I use to mat photos. I hate cutting a large sheet, because I feel like I'm wasting it.

it looks great! I agree with the ladies that i bet matting the photos would add a little extra. For me.. i never measure when I matte pics.. i just line the picture up to the end of 2 sides and glue it and then cut around the other 2 edges using a cutter thingy (i can't remember what the real name is).. but that's just me...
