Red face Beginner Here -- Needs help!!!

    Hi Ladies --

I would like to start scrapbooking, but I NEED HELP!!!
Unfortunately I am not very artistic -- need some assistance with lettering. How do you get your lettering to look so professional??
Do you cut the letters out free hand? (When I try, it looks like a child did it!) Do you use stickers? I'm not really good w/ the computer would like to make my scrapbooks by hand, but they look so sloppy.

The cricut, which looks awesome on tv, is totally NOT in our budget!!

    THANK YOU!
    ~ Bridget

I used stickers for a long time. But then I started looking on E-bay and got addicted to the cricut. It's a lot cheaper on there.

Stickers here too! Chipboard too! Sizzix machine came later (when I happened to have some extra cash) and then the Cricut (which was an early birthday present) which also came from ebay too (SO MUCH cheaper there!)

I use stickers or chipboard too. Chipboard is like a cardboard type material. You can get it already decorated or it comes ready for you to decorate yourself with paper, paint, etc. Here's a link for some chipboard: http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/shop/list/?c=37&f=c

Well, Ashley got your question on chipboard...Thanks Ash!

I got the Cricut on ebay for $222 (how much I won it for and w/o any cartridges). That's for the Expression, the Machine (smaller of the two) goes for around $130. And shipping is about $20 (varies per seller).

I bought the regular boring old cricut for $130 and paid $20 for shipping so $150 total, and then have bought all my carts for reasonable priced there.
