I did! I did!! Got up at 3:30am to be there by 4:00am and there was only 5, so and I ended up getting one, because I was first in line. I'm soooo excited!!! I ended up going to Michaels for an even better deal than Walmart. It came with 2 blades, 3 mats, 2 paper pads, the Cricut Tool Kit and the cricut and 2 cartridges for only 129!!! Walmart was packed the night before with ppl camping out, so there was no way I'd get one.

I had to work so DH arranged for MIL to pick it up. Walmart had a crowd at 4am so she picked up her stuff at Kohl's and then went to Micheals which opened at 8. She was fourth in line. She got in there and they were told there were only four. The very first person in line bought ALL FOUR!!! So pissed. There was supposed to be a limit but the person checked out before management intervened. The a$$*#%$ said he was going to ebay them!!! Not happy.

OMG!! That would make me sooo mad. I can't believe they let her get all four! I'm sorry! I can't wait to use mine, but I think DH wants to wrap it and put it under the tree. Such torture. lol

ugh! i can't believe they let her do that either. And i can't believe the cashier didn't know that there was a limit! Wouldn't you think that on black friday if there were only 4 items you wouldn't let one person buy it! ugh! that makes me mad! lol

Charys - i would go CRAZY if dh let me buy a cricut right now and then wrap it and put it under the tree. i'd be like "can i use it and then Christmas eve wrap it up and open it on Christmas morning?" lol

Ha! I just came to post my story and there's already a thread about this

Mom and I happened to be in Walmart about 4-4:30a yesterday (because we were out and it was the only place with a bathroom (24-hrs) LOL). We both started scrapbooking recently and I'd heard about the Cricut but I didn't really know what one was. I remembered from a post here that they were going to be on super sale yesterday, so we decided to check one out since we were already there. First off, it took us about 6 employees to find the thing. No one knew where it was. We'd walked around every part of the craft section but hadn't gone into the back of the sewing/fabric department, which is exactly where they had it buried. Then it took some pleading for them to even let us look at the box because they weren't letting people touch the 'doorbuster' items until 5 am on the dot. They didn't have prices on the accessories posted and no one could tell us about that. After all of that, we decided not to buy one I couldn't believe we were the only ones back there looking at them! Almost everything else had a crowd gathered around it.

We hightailed it out of the store at 4:45a. I didn't want to be there for the frenzy--I've seen too many of those stories on the news!

We did have a great time shopping for other stuff at my local scrapbooking store later in the day. They did 30% off everything from 10a-12p. I got some nice Baybox/anthologie albums, a self-sharpening paper trimmer, a Xyron sticker/label/magnet maker and laminator, a took kit (eyelet setter, hole punches, etc) and lots of little page kits and stuff. I can't wait to use it! Now I just have to get my house cleaned and tree up so I can play

Marissa! That's so funny! The Cricut was so popular everywhere else. That would have been the perfect time to snatch one. lol. Sounds like you got some great deals on other stuff though!
