Bluebonnet cards and layouts

I started back at work this week, so my scrapbooking time will be a little less from now on. (ok, probably A LOT less...who am I kidding right? lol) Anyways, I'm NAK, so i thought I'd get these posted real quick. I made them last Monday before I went to work and am just now getting time to post. Wink I was in a hurry to just get layouts done........not real pleased with either, but oh well. Oh and I made them almost identical...one for our Family Album and one for Cohen's first year album. Normally I don't do layouts like that but I wanted one for Cohen's first year.

The bluebonnet cards...I made these for my brother and DH's sister, who both live out of state. Wink

oh and one more I don't think I posted?

TFL!

Gorgeous! I love the "Wish you were here" cards. Great pictures in the bluebonnets. That's too bad you weren't able to get a family picture in them!

I hope your first few days back at work went well.

Charys, just beautiful, as usual. I never get tired of looking at your work. I would be very pleased with myself if I could come up with something this good! Smile

These are so pretty! I love the bluebonnet diecuts!

Just a side note: Your boys will remember the bluebonnets forever. I was born in TX and spent the first 5 years of my life there. I don't remember much about it but I do remember a huge patch of bluebonnets in the middle of our housing courtyard. Such a lovely memory for me.

I think they look great. Did you emboss the flowers and state before you cut them or after?

Thank you all!

Lisa, I cut them first, then embossed.

Thanks! LOL, can't wait to see the layout then. Wink A friend gave me about 6 photo papers, so it may have come from the pack you are talking about. Did one have a pretty "mist" look to it with trees? That's my favorite of the bunch she gave me! I can't wait to use it on a card.

yep! That's a great pack...I got it last year...Ironically that mist one is one I haven't felt compelled to use yet so I still have all f those. lol ...if it didn't cost so much to mail that size I would send them to you. lol ...that page I just used for Earth Day is from that too...a lot of my pages are. lol...Sometimes I find it hard using them though because they are so detailed and I don't like covering the scene...ah well. It serves it's purpose Smile
