Bluebonnets? OT

Does anyone here know when the bluebonnets are in bloom in northern Texas? I bet there's a website for it, but I thought I'd ask here. I know I've seen layouts done with bluebonnet pictures here so I thought someone would know.

I might be going to TX to visit a friend when it's bluebonnet season, so that's why I needed to know.

I'm not in north Texas (more south-central), but around here they start to sprout around the last week of February and will generally be around until about the first week of April. We've had a colder than normal winter though, so I wouldn't be surprised if this whole schedule was pushed back a couple of weeks.

I usually try to get our family bluebonnet pics some time between mid-March and the first week of April. After that they have usually died off and gone to seed.

HTH!

well, I think my friend that I'm visiting is helping with the airfare (not positive, I don't want to assume), and she's near Dallas. I wish I could get down to see you, Charys, I really do! you too GiGi. I'll keep you posted. Smile
