Challenge #11 - 'Holiday Joy'

It's time to scrap those Holiday pictures I'm sure we all have tons of Smile
I thought that would make a great challenge theme for us too. The layout can be Christmas, Hannukah, New Years, or any other holiday of the season that you choose.

Please submit your layout by Sunday, January 20th. (and of course, don't forget to leave those siggies off)

Sorry, I've asked for things to be stickied, etc, but admin seems to be busy at the moment.

QUESTION:

I just did a LO using snow pictures. Would that count or does it have to be a celebration of a holiday. It was around the holidays. Just curious. Wink

I missed this before I posted it in a separate thread! From a BH Sketch...holds 14 photos!!! Journaling reads:
God grant you lightness in your step, a smile on every face you meet, loved ones gathered at your hearth, and at your door, good folk to greet , a holy hymn upon your lips, a window candle burning bright, and may the Good Lord bless your heart and come to dwell there Christmas night.

“The faithful will abound with blessings.” ~Proverbs 28:20

I say go for it Sadie! I figure snow is close enough. The more pages the better Smile

This was one of the most fun times of the holidays to me, so I wanted to scrap these photos for "Holiday Joy"! Smile

Finally! I'm done with my scrappers block

Here is mine. I am very excited this is the first page I have done in six months. This is my son Christmas eve at my mother in laws waiting to open his gifts. (I always just let him go for it) He waited so good I had to scrap this.

I made the initial deadline after all!!!!

This page is called "Christmas Retreat" - everyone sleeping or reading after the insanity of opening gifts on Christmas Day. Lol I am tempted to journal on it but that might ruin the simplicity of the page. This page took me forever to do, but I've been wanting to do a hexagon illusion page for a while .... Cutting all of the pieces was something else, had to redo many of them. The reds are two different shades to show depth, but now that I'm looking at this, I wonder if I should have varied the shades even more ... oh, well!

Awesome Gwen!!! What a neat idea for a page. I have never seen one done like that. Great job!

thanks. Smile Got the idea from an old scrapbooking magazine, and have been dying to try it. It's called a hexagon illusion page. Wink

BTW, I love everything entered on this thread. Voting is gonna be really hard this time around! But that's a good problem to have, right?
