    Default Challenges discussion

Do you think a whole month is too long for a challenge? I'm thinking that maybe 2-3 weeks is probably long enough for the challenge to be out there then 3 days of voting. What do you think? Just seems like the first 10 days is when most of the challenge creations are posted then it's pretty slow for the rest of the month. If we do 3 weeks, then a challenge can begin and end in the same month, and a new challenge can be started before the next month begins. I like the challenges, gives me a chance to try something different, and I love to see what everyone else does too. So the more challenges, the better, IMO. So I thought I'd through this out for discussion to see what you think. Because as far as I know, we don't have any true "rules" on the challenge duration or frequency. Heck, we really don't have any true rules about the challenges at all, do we? They're more for fun than anything else. My husband thinks it's funny that the "prize" is to determine the next challenge - but I think that part's fun too.

I'm all about shortening the length of time of the challenges Gwen!! YES!! I have noticed that almost all the posts are done pretty quick too, and it just gets slow waiting for the ending date. I think 2 weeks would be good. I get so many new ideas and love coming up with pages for the challenges.

    Chime in everyone!

That being said, I better get my hiney in gear for my sketch challenge page. LOL, I'm a little late this time.

I was just thinking this the other day! I think it's a great idea to shorten the time. That way we can do more challenges!! I think 2 weeks is a good amount of time.

2 weeks may be short for me...but if I don't make it I dont' make it. I do think that a lot of them go up quick, but there are some done the last week or so too. JMO, thanks for asking.

3 sounds like a good compromise between too short and too long, don't you think?

I'm a procrastinator, but I think 3 weeks is still long enough.

I like 3 weeks... what if we stagger them a little more?

It seems like two challenges running simultaneously might be a bit much (especially for paper scrappers) in 3 weeks... but what if one started one week and the next started a week and a half later? Does that make sense? So, for example, one challenge might run from October 5-25 while the other ran Oct 15- Nov 5..... just throwing out a suggestion
