Christmas Card Input! **added new version**

Just wanted some opinions on the Christmas Card I made. I'll be changing out the pics (need to take some Christmas one tonight!), but other than that it's all done. What do you guys think? Too busy? Pics not big enough? Is the silver ribbon to much with the silver stripes in the background? I've been working on it too much and have no idea what to think now, lol. Any type of cc is appreciated! Smile

ETA: New One

It's going to be printed 5x7, do you think the pic is big enough now? I'm going to use the kids Santa pic instead of the one I have there.

I think the pictures are too small - once you have it printed, you'll see that the photos are just very tiny. Personally, I think if you're doing a photo card, the photos should be the bigger emphasis on the card. I do love what you've done, just play with it a little more to make the pictures bigger (and if you don't mind my suggesting, I'd do the rickrack smaller, seems a bit wide for the rest of the elements on the card)

I would definitely make the pictures bigger. When you have it printed it's going to be very hard to see. I really like the color scheme and everything though!

I love it, but agree the photos are way too small. The pics are what everyone really wants to see.

I completely agree with everything you said. Thanks so much for the thoughts! I was looking at it too much and kinda tired of it. I'll make some changes tonight after the babies are asleep and I can think. Wink

The first thing I thought was "wow, that's adorable."

the second thing was "those pics are going to be tiny when she prints that though!" Smile

So, the only thing I would change is make the pics a little bigger, like the others said.

ITA with PP about the size of the pics - they're so adorable, they need to be seen Smile I totally love the snowman, presents, ornaments (they just need to be bigger) and alpha!

Also agree about the ric rac size, and to me it looks a bit odd because of the glitter stripes are the same color. I have this kit too, and I looked thru it - you could try the first ribbon in there (1a - the red one) to tie it all together (bring in the stripes of the alpha and snowman, too) ... just a suggestion, don't know how it would actually look with the stripes of the paper.

I think it's almost perfect though, even if you just rediced the size of the ric rac.

Oh, and a suggestion - get 1 card printed first, so you can see how it looks in your hands - I changed a few things after I did that, and I'm glad I didn't get all 100 printed the first time around. Smile

Thanks for all the input, I really appreciate it! I added a new one I did. What do you guys think? I like this one better, but do you think the pic is big enough? I'm going to use the kids Santa pic instead of that one, we going to take it in the morning.

Funny you should mention that one since I used it first, but didn't like the overall effect.

Thanks for mentioning this, I didn't think of it at all!

Again, thank you for all the input and suggestions! You ladies are the best!!! Biggrin

Nice job. I'm torn, I like the tweaks in the second and I can't see how you could fully incorporate them into the first (like bigger photos on the ornaments), but I LOVE the design of the first. The second one is VERY good....I just like the details of the first, iykwim?

I know exactly what you mean! I really love the first, but was having a very difficult time trying to fit a big picture onto it. It just didn't fit anywhere I put it and if I made the ornament frames bigger it didn't look right at all! I'm just going to have to make a Christmas layout incorporating all the details that I love in the first, lol.

I think they are both adorable! I really like the 1st one the best if you could possibly make the pics just a little bigger. It's just arranged so cute. The 2nd one is cute too though so if you want a bigger picture then I would use it.

I don't think you could go wrong with either!

The second one is great Smile I think you should do a layout based on the first one, so you don't lose the great design - it would work as a 12x12 layout, just not as a card because the pictures are too small. Smile

oh, I like it! can't wait to see it with the Santa picture of the kids. Wink

I've been working on card orders for my business, so I hear ya on spending a lot of time looking at it all. I'm about to start my family card, but think I should go to bed instead as I'm so tired I'm sure I'll hate what I create when I look at it fresh. Lol
