Christmas Craftiness

Hi Ladies! I have been MIA lately, like many of you, and even though I haven't been scrapbooking a lot, I have been crafting various things. I am helping lead the younger children's choir at my church (4,5, 6 year olds), and they are doing a Christmas skit prior to the older kids' play/musical. Their skit is called Christmas questions - we (the 2 adult leaders) ask a question like "mary, joseph, where are they sleeping?" and they respond "in a stable, in a stable" So I used my Paper Doll Dress Ups cartridge on my cricut to make a nativity scene with all the pieces they will need (and some extras like the sheep, donkey, etc.) so that each kid would have one piece to place on as we ask and answer the questions). I plan to attach the stable and clouds/stars/moon to a poster, and then use velcro for where the various pieces will go. I laminated everything that will be removable...they did laminate a little funky because of all the layers of paper on each doll...and I questioned laminating them after the fact, but I am not sure how else to keep them safe from little hands! Anyway, here it is before I put it on poster...

and for another Christmas "Craft" Christmas card that I designed using GIMP (I am by no means a digiscrapping expert but each year I use GIMP to make cards and save a few bucks!)

Oh the christmas card is so cute! And great job on the nativity scene. Looks like the kids will enjoy playing with the pieces after the play is over too! Smile
