Ok all of you crafty ladies.... I need some inspiration (ok, more like idea stealing)... what are you working on for homemade Christmas gifts? I'd like to think they are more cost effective, but sometimes I find that they end up costing more, but there's just something special about a handmade gift.
So... What are you making?! (please, don't be shy - I need some ideas!) haha.... Or, what have you made in the past? (could you share photos so we can all see?)

Haha! I was just coming here to post this same thread!!! Needless to say, I am very interested to see what everyone has to share! I know Lauren made a ton of stuff last year. Should have bookmarked some of those ideas!
The one idea I have so far is that I am going to make my grandma a memory book. I saw this idea somewhere online, only it was in the form of a memory jar. Family members contributed little things they love/remember/cherish about the grandfather and they were printed on 365 slips of paper and placed in a decorated jar. I think I am going to turn mine into a book instead of the jar idea, but we shall see. I need to get an early start this year (not that November is early really...I guess I should already be started!) as our budget is REALLY limited this year so I am going to try to make most of our gifts.
I will also be making Lindsay an ABC book...I made one for Evan when he was this age so I will do a similar one for her.
That is all I have planned so far, but I will share more when I get myself together!
I think I am doing chipboard albums with each persons name, Jack calls my mom and dad Mimie and Poppa, so those 2 for sure, not sure what else though, hope someone has a great, cheap, easy and quick idea! LOL

I steal ideas too....in fact, "my idea" is the etched glasses that Charys did last year. LOL...I figure we all live far enough apart it doesn't matter if we all give the same stuff. lol.
I haven't bought the supplies since we've just been paid but I will post pics as I go along
I hope somebody will post a pic! Besides me!
I made this for my almost 4yo niece:
And this is for my 5yo nephew (obsessed w/cars ):
This isn't done yet, but it's going to be a dress. I'm making two, one for my other niece (2 years) and the other for the little girl I watch (almost 1 year). I just need to sew the fabric onto the halter tops (which are knit) to make a dress. The other halter top is white, and the fabric is orange w/white flowers.
last year I made a TON...this year with being preggo and not having much time or energy to scrap let alone make stuff, I doubt I will do as many...if any.
I think for my grandma, though, I am doing an altered frame that says "Family" with a nice pic of her with my mom, my aunt and my uncle from her bday.
Last year I made my sister a recipe book and an ornament box. I made family name plaques for each season for my parents. I think that was it???
Lauren, if you get a chance can you post pics. I agree that your stuff is always so great and you did do a LOT last year. I always say I want to do this and then I nevr do as much as I say I want to do.
Ashley, I LOVE both of yours. Keeran would LOVE that little chest. So cute.

I've made these before. They are fun.
Don't remember where I got this
Just looking around I found these... which could be decorated up really cute.
I'm betting this could be done with scrapbook paper and/or photos
