Christmas Layout w/hidden journaling&photos

I decided to go with 12x12 for all my holiday and event layouts. I just can't seem to squeeze all my random photos on an 8.5x11 inch page. So I ordered a 3-ring 12x12 scrapbook to put them in.

I bought a sheet of this pretty paper at a scrapbook store a few months ago. I rarely buy single sheets, but it was just too pretty to pass up. Well, when I opened my Christmas presents, DH had bought me another of the very same sheet. Lol Guess he knows my style. I was able to cut one down and use it for hidden journaling and pics, so it worked out good. (I'm using the scraps on another project.) Not my usual style, since this is just random photo placement and tons of journaling, but it was fun.

I took pics both inside and outside and neither really do the color of the paper justice, but you get the idea right?
taken inside

reindeer cut from the Christmas cart, snowflakes from Home Accents, title from Jasmine

outside pics

closeup of deer and cut out.

I used an eyelet, so it can open

Inside more photos and journaling

that page ROCKS! I love how you did the cutouts and hid extra photos and journaling. I have a STACK of Christmas photos, and no idea how to narrow them down for a layout. *sigh* I love how you did your layout with so much journaling and not too many pictures.

WOW! The journaling is really cool from a distance. I never think of doing hidden spots since they are in a page protector so I wouldnt be able to see them. Do you put them in a protector or not then?

Yes, I use page protectors. A lot of them have hidden journaling or pics, but I figure it's just something I will tell K when I give them to him when he's older. Smile He can have fun finding all the little messages........
thanks all for the compliments!

It's a BEAUTIFUL page, Charys! I love all the journaling around your page. The two photos among all the writing is perfect for the look of the page.

Your DH is so sweet to know what you like!

No offence to all of the digital gals here I love inspo from you all but I fear I will be the only paper scrapper left since I am horrible with computers. Anyway I love the paper page. LOL
