I got my first cricut in April or May I think and changed the blade in November. It wasn't terribly dull and I can still use it if I want but I upgraded to the deep cut blade.

How often do you change your cricut blade?

I got mine in mid-October and changed it today. Does that seem soon to you? It was just shredding my paper, even though I was trying different settings.

hmm...not sure...how often do you use it? I got my Cricut at the end of October and use it quite often and my blade is still perfect...however, it was shredding paper the other day but it was because the mat wasn't sticky enough to hold the paper still. I still must remember to get spray adhesive!! lol

I got mine last Christmas and just changed it last week. So it lasted me a year!!!! I thought it needed changing after a few months but I restickied my mat and it worked perfect again.

I also got mine last year and have NEVER changed the blades. I don't use it ALL the time, but I do use it often. I change pressure/speed whenever it seems to be off and that works, but do think I"m probably due for new ones now.

Hmmm...I didn't throw out the other blade yet. But the new one is working great!
I wonder if I just re-stick my mat if that would help. I just thought it should probably last a little longer than it did.

I think I got mine in June and I haven't changed mine yet. I don't use mine a whole lot though.

I think I change mine about once a year or so. I'll have to make a note the next time so I can keep track.

I would say you probably ARE due for a change. You'll probably notice a big difference when you put a new blade on. I change mine about every 6 months. After it starts catching and tearing is when I can tell I need a new one.

Maybe I have just used it that much recently, cause this new blade rocks I was getting really irritated that I would have to try cutting things multiple times cause it was all just shredding. I did use it quite a bit for Christmas cards and gifts so maybe that wore it out quicker? Hmmmm....maybe I'll keep a closer eye on this one.
