Cricut Design Studio questions...

Hey ladies. I know a few of you out there have this program, and I was wondering how you like it. Randall wants to buy it for my birthday. I told him not to buy it until I know more about it. I don't want to fork out the money for it, and hate it. I want to know exactly what it does and if it makes things any easier.

What does it do that makes it so special?
Is it worth it?

Please let me know your honest opinions. Thanks ladies. Biggrin

At first, I was like cool! When I first tried it out, I was like, this is all it does?! LOL But as I keep playing w/ it and get more creative w/ it, I'm really glad I've got the program!!! Here is everything the program can do: width and height options, rotate, slant, weld shapes/letters to form one single cut, flip shapes to create mirror images, kerning (which is to bring the shape closer together or farther away).

Here's a link to where you can see and read more about it:

my friend bought it here and I got to play with it once. I only did one cut with it (welding a phrase together), so I don't have much to say. But.....I notice alot of the girls on the Cricut MB have them and do some amazing stuff!! They will even come up with "patterns" for things and you can download them. Like they will take a basic shape and turn it into some amazing designs. They might spend hours doing it, and offer the download for everyone for free. let me see if I can find an example of this.....

Honestly, I would love to get the software myself one day, but it will probably be after I buy the Wild Card cart. Wink

download the trial and use it first. you can use it with George. it can be a pain to work with, especially with resizing. and it's a challenge to make shadows if you adjust the letter size. but I think it's neat. I haven't bought it yet, but I've been tempted. but really, try it out first. you'll need a USB cable to connect to cut, but if you're like me, you'll have one lying around.
