Cricut Infomercial

What are they doing to me!! Lol "try it for only $33!" Yeah right! Try it my butt! I'd keep it! Its actually a cool infomercial cause they are showing all the different uses for it. There was a lady showing how to use it for quilting, a guy using it for baking, another using it for glass etching, another using it for wall decor, then the obvious scrapbooking. Sad so sad I cant have one! I need to "make" a friend that has one Wink

me too! lol. My only nearby IRL friend sho scraps calls herself a "minimalist" when it comes to spending as well, so the odds of her buying one are slim too Wink

They made templates out of thin plastic for sprinkling powdered sugar, chocolate, cocco, etc. You can buy them like at craft stores for the tops of cakes, plates and the such but think of all the cool designs you could make and use with the cricut! That is what this baker was raving about, he made all these really cool templates and kept the cricut in the kitchen! never even used it for scrapbooking Wink

I watched it the other day and I'm dying to try the glass etching!! I was just at my friend's house this morning and tried cutting vinyl for the first time. We made her granddaughter's name for her room in the Jasmine font in purple (soooo cute!!!) and an awesome sign for our friend's kitchen that says "Country Kitchen". She will mount it to a board painted red. I am really excited about cutting letters for Kayson's wall now.
