    Default cricut mats

how long do you use one mat? i dont know if maybe i have the blade cutting too deep or what but my mats dont last long at all. when you make cuts is there an outline of it on your mat? sometimes that happens to mine! im already on my 3rd mat because they arent staying sticky enough and it just wont hold the paper.i dont know if its because the blade is cutting the mat as well, or am just hard on mats?

Forever. Seriously, buy Zig 2-way glue and you'll never buy another mat again!

Let me see if I can find the post about this from a while back. I've used the same 2 mats for over 6 months and I do a heck of a lot of cutting.

They don't last all that long for me either, and if you don't replace them your paper will slip all around effectively ruining your cut, definitely better to just suck it up and replace the mat.

YES!!! do this!!! I've had my cricut for months and when i got it i bought it used and it came with 7 used mats....like really used, she was a teacher. and i put the Zig clue on them when they start to loose thier stickiness and they work like new....Just make sure that the Zip 2-way gl eis COMPLETELY dry before you use it....then you'll have glued paper to your mat.. lol

I also wanted to add that wiping it down when it becomes dirty with a wet wipe really works well too. I've had my mat since x-mas, using it about twice a month or so since then and have not done anything but wipe it down. I let it dry before I reapply the cover, and it really works. Also, yes, my mat has cuts all over it. I assumed it was supposed to. Also, I use different spots to adhere my paper too, you don't have to put it exactly where it says to on the mat...this may help as well. HTH!!

I swear by the baby wipes.

I used the 2 way glue and my thinner paper stuck to the mat, even when it was completely dry. I'll try it again when my current mat is shot, hopefully I'll have better results than last time. Got the glue at Jo-Anns.
