    Default cricuts?

What exactly do they do and how to you get so many shapes from one little machine? I hear you have to use cartridges? What do those have? Any details you can give me on cricuts or a link to that info would be great. I might want to get one in the future. Maybe next year sometime. In the meantime I have to use what I have as far as cutting out shapes and stuff. Oh well.

oh and I hear they are pricey too. How much did yours cost and how often do you use it? Is it worth buying?

Yes, it's a freakin' fabulous machine! LOL You can go to Cricut.com and I believe there's a video you can watch to see what it does.

    Here's the link: http://www.cricut.com/movies/introduction.aspx

If it doesn't work, go to Cricut.com and find the green eye and it says "View Demonstration" next to it.

I got mine from ebay, b/c I found it cheapest there. For $220 (That was for the Expressions). The cartridges go for $30 and up on ebay and you can find them on sale on different sites too.

Aja got you updated! I totally agree with her. They are amazing machines. If you are addicted to scrapping, they can best your best friend, or your worst enemy. Worst enemy due to $! There are so many cartridges out there, and they are all great. I want so many, but we have a limit! I only have 4 cartridges, and I adore them all. I hope you can get one soon. I was using bowls to cut circles before, and now it's all at a touch of a button!

OMG, I love it I love it I love it.

Seriously where would I be without my cricut? Still buying a ton of stickers. Thats where.

I love my cricut. I love what it can do. I make cards now, and I've sold cards which helps pay for more things or pay off my credit card......

And I'm seriously addicted to Ebay which is 98% of the time the cheapest place to get any cartridges.

THIS is the addict! She has tons of cartridges! ( just playing with you Erin!)

Oh, I also made a deal with Randall, that I would never buy another card if I got a cricut. Now, he was just playing, but I have stuck to my word!

You know what Sadie..I don't think I've bought a single card in two years either!!

The Cricut is by FAR my most favorite scrapbooking tool, if you can call it a tool. There are shape and font cartridges. Right now (thanks to my early Christmas present from DH) I have 6 carts! I just got the Going Places and Christmas Cheer. Wait, I have 7 because they sent the wrong Christmas cart so I got to keep it too!!! LOL

It allows you to not be spending money on letter stickers (which I was always having to buy), and I love that I can cut out just what I need. Instead of always running out of the vowels, the letters s and t, etc.

Plus there are thousands of combinations you can create with the cuts!

ETA, I think the smaller bug is around $150, larger Expressions is $220+. I got mine for only $120 and it came with tons of stuff at Michael's on the day after Thanksgiving. It might be worth waiting (if you're not in a hurry) to find a great sale like that.

Yes I'm the addict but I haven't bought anything scrapbook related for over two months now, so I'm getting better. And hey I sold a cartridge too, and I'm thinking of selling my accent essentials. I'm just not using it as much as I thought I would. Still debating that one though, cause there is one thing on there that I LOVE.
