Crop!

I am going to another crop at a local scrapbooking store this weekend, so hopefully I will have some pictures to post some time next week.

When you all go to crops, do you plan ahead or just take everything with you?
Typically I plan ahead, but as life seems to be really busy right now, I am having a harder time planning ahead. Any suggestions?

If you are busy with running around this week, bring a small notebook with you. Any chance you get a few free minutes jot down idea's of pages you WANT to do, not the ones you HAVE to do. Then just print thoses pics and take them along with paper or supplies you might want to go with the page. Since the crop is at your lss just take your pics into the store and look for things that work. I usually plan about 2 to 3 pages cause since we talk alot I can never get more than that done Smile good luck Smile

Ooh! Have fun and I hope you get lots done!! I am itching to go to a crop, but we just have so much going on this summer! Hopefully is September I'll get to one.

At first I just took everything with me, which was nice because I typically had whatever I wanted to use. Later I started trying to pre-plan pages and takes fewer "extra" supplies. But that didn't really work for me because my plans usually change while I'm working on a page. So now I kind of do a mix of both. I choose the pictures/LOs I want to do ahead of time, and I prewrite my journaling in a little notebook, because that is what normally takes me the longest when I'm working on a LO. I also go through a few magazines and try to pick out some ideas that inspire me for the LOs I'm going to work on. I take pretty much all of my go-to supplies (paper, cardstock, stickers, markers, ribbon, embellishments, etc.). I should add that my crops are in a church social hall, so no store to buy stuff from as I work - that would be awesome (but maybe too tempting ;))!!

I am a crop virgin, but want that to change. It scares me cause I'd be like you and not know what to bring. But if it were me, I'd TOTALLY plan ahead and bring what I needed for each LO. Or I'd work on a mini album or cards or something like that. This is what stresses me most about a crop, not having all my stuff. Have fun though!!!

I personally take pretty much everything. I'm not able to preplan LOs so limiting myself doesn't work. I have also found a couple times that I'm planning on working on 1 project but just can't find the mojo, it's nice to have somrthing else to work on.

Thanks everyone. I usually plan, but this week has just been to busy and on top of that I got a new computer, which has beena bit of a distraction. With the new computer, and a few other slightly unexpected expensess lately, I am on a limited budget, so buying what I need in the store is not really an option, well I can get a few things, but not to much.
I have about 3 pages planned for Cameron and ready to go, so I am going to try to go right now why the kids are napping and get some Heidi pages ready to go.
