Anyone care to share opinions on it? I am considering buying one but wondering what those who have used and do use think of it. Is it worht getting or should you spend the extra and get the cricket?

I don't have a cuttlebug, but my MIL does. I have watched her use it a few times. I think if you want to cut things out then spend the extra money and get a cricut, if you are more into making cards and embossing then go for the cuttlebug. The cricut is better, I think because you have more options with it, as far as sizes you may want. A cricut can cut a flower from 1/2" up to 11..5 if you have the expression. Good luck with your decision.

I have one and it's basically a paper weight! I do have a Silhouette though, and although it dosen't emboss, I use it rather than the CuttleBug.

I have a Cricut and a Cuttlebug. I only use the Cuttlebug for embossing as the Cricut is way better for cutting out things. I love the Cuttlebug though, I just never remember to use it much.

I use my cuttlebug to emboss. I really like it. I got mine 40 or 50% off with a Michael's coupon so it was not that much. I use mine often and love to emboss stuff with it. I agree with the other posters... not as useful for cutting dies as the cricut.

I love the Cuttlebug!

I use my Cuttlebug to emboss Cricut cuts and cards. It's great for added detail! Smile

Here's some ways I've used it...

I was eyeing the Cuttlebug at AC Moore last night ... but am not sure I will ever get it. I just don't think I'd be much of an embossing type.
