    Default Example as promised!

Ok, it was a little later than planned. Had to get my catering stuff ready for tomorrow, bathe K, put K to bed and do dishes. Ahhh, the life of a mommy.

I stuck one of last year's pictures in here just for you to get the idea. We haven't taken our pics this year yet. This would be open from the front, so the picture shows through. Then I would use the white sharpie for the bottom part. I was in a hurry, so I didn't worry about handwriting or anything like I would if it was going out.

what you would see from the front

    Inside.

Does that help? If not I can take other examples and post them tomorrow. Each card is different, so it just depends. But normally you could glue a piece of paper to the inside, the same size (or smaller) than the outside piece, so it doesn't show and that works fine.

That makes perfect sense. Where do you get your white pen? Love the cards Charys, really. They are brilliant!!

And do you make your own envelopes? Just full of questions aren't I? LOL

Charys!!!! These are SO beautiful - as are you and your family.

All of the cards are wonderful. But I truly love the idea of these transparent cards. Did you buy pre-cut transparent cards or did you cut and score a piece of transparency paper?

Oh ... and I truly LOVE my white sharpie too. I got mine as a RAK about 2 years ago and I'm finally starting to wear it out. I don't know WHERE I'll be able to find another. UG! But thanks for the reminder that I need to get looking for one.

    TFS!

Charys, that is so adorable!!!!!!!!!! And I've always love that family pic.

I really want to steal it, but that would be silly since I don't paper scrap, right? I mean, how would I make 100 of those reindoor, etc... Oh, the joys of crafting and spending money!

I bought my Sharpie at Susan's Scrapbook Shack online. But I can't find it at her shop anymore. I'm sure there are many places like Ebay you could fine them. It was like $2 if I can remember correctly, but has lasted 2 years of heavy use.
I buy all my envelopes in packages of 100 at Walmart. They are sold right next to the office supplies and are the perfect size for a greeting card. Much cheaper than making your own envelopes for sure!
I was getting them for free at my local dollar Store (the manager would save them for me when they would get a new batch of cards in, instead of throwing them away) but she stopped doing that for me.

Gigi, I bought my transparency paper in a pack of 100 8.5"x11" sheets. I have to cut them in half, then fold them. My scoring tool doesn't work well on transparency, so I do it manually. You can find transparencies at any local office supply store. I think it was Ashley that said she found some at Target once. The closest Target here doesn't carry them, but I'd check there because they may be even cheaper. (Warning, they are pricey, but a package of 100 sheets makes 200 cards, so I figured it would be worth it. They are about $29 a box!)
