It's funny that you guys talk about trying to keep your mat (or get) it to stay sticky... I just found a great cake decorating board and they're talking about using the cricut to do cutouts on fondant and they are discussing how to get the sticky OFF!! I just thought it was comical.
Sorry I haven't been around too much lately. No real excuses... just spending time with the fam and working on my cakes.
I am thinking about trying my hand at using it for cakes.. but first I need to buy the deep cutting housing unit. I'm eager to try it!
Deep cut blade works well. I cleaned up my personal cricut to try it but haven't done it yet.

I used the deep cut housing blade to cut my tissue box.

be sure and share pics with us when you do it! I am intrigued by the cake decorating with it, but I won't be trying it. lol. I can't even spread icing from a can onto a cake and make it look decent!
Ha Angie!!! You and me are very much alike I think. I totally can not spread icing either....always mess it up! But my reciepents still love them anyway.
