Ok, so my friend's bridal shower is saturday 6/28. I am a bridesmaid, so I am making centerpieces (in all my free time, haha)... I also need to get her a gift. I wanted to buy her the crockpot they are registered for...but then I also got the idea to give her a bunch of slow cooker recipes that I love to go with the crockpot. Since I am low on time (gotta make the centerpieces, my son is being baptized this weekend complete with out of town guests, and I work 3 days a week), I am trying to figure out the best way to do these recipes. Here are the options I came up with...
(for all of them I will print the recipes off the computer)
1) glue recipes onto pretty cardstock/paper with embellishments, etc. on recipe card sized paper and put in cute recipe box (I could decorate a plain recipe box IF i have time or leave it as is if time runs out
2) make them on small pages, punch holes and tie ribbon through holes (this might be more likely to be ruined while cooking )
3) try to find a chipboard book to alter and put the recipes on the pages of that (but that could get ruined while cooking too)
(I wouldn't really have time to laminate or anything which would be ideal for recipes around food in the kitchen)
Can I throw another option your way ...
A three ring binder with sheet protectors in it? Do full size pages (8.5x11) with either one or two recipes. It would also allow you to divide your recipes with just tab dividers. If you get a binder with the cover sleeve you could also create a nice cover for it.
Just an idea.

oooh thanks...this is true. I have used the smaller sized ones before and I even have the smaller sized page protectors left over. It is the size of 1/2 an 8.5x11 sheet. I used that type of binder for making a pledge book for my little sister in my sorority back in the day. Thanks for the great idea ladies that will be quicker too.
I voted #1. I just did this for my sis and her new hubby as well!

I like the idea of the binder with the page protectors just for the simple fact that it would help to keep them clean and unruined (if thats even a word) lol. Good luck in whatever you decide. Post pics before you give it to her. She will love it I am sure.
I like the binder idea.
