Grandpa Lovin' and some gifts

Just wanted to share my cardstock challenge layout here too. Wink I feel like it's missing something but I don't know what.

And then here are some other gifts I've been making - thanks for letting me show off my handiwork. I have a LOT more still to do, and hope to have some quality time with my sewing machine next week. This weekend is a wash as we have a lot going on.

A hat I knit for my goddaughter ... I am debating adding a pom pom on top. If I do, then I won't have enough yarn to attempt to knit another one.

However, I put it on Jack and it's very snug. I don't know if it will fit her or not ... I have to measure his head and compare to her head measurement.

He wouldn't keep it on his head, so this is a very goofy shot

And I knit a hat for my sister ... but I want it for myself. Lol I want to use this same yarn to do one of Jordan, I think. It's so soft and warm. I wish I could figure out how to make the ear flaps.

And then the tote I made for MIL ... I combined two tutorials to make this, and didn't really measure much of anything. Of course, as a result, I made some mistakes and had to rip some stitches. But it came out really nice. It's lined on the inside, and uses the same two fabrics I used on my mom's bag.

WOW! Your sewing rocks! I LOVE the hats. The pom pom would be cute but I think it looks great how you have it now! As for the page I think you need more blue. I just think that blue brings out orange really well. What about using blue for the title and maybe having grandpa in black but a different font than some and lovin???? Just a thought.
Almost forgot about the bag!!! You could make polka dot scrapbooking totes and sell them Smile

I like that idea with the blue ... but they're all pretty much stuck down. The purple (which looks pink in this picture) actually matches Jack's sippy cup perfectly, the orange background matches Dad's shirt. The blue matches Jack's tray, and the brown goes with the chair. Lol I had a theme sort of going by matching with the colors.

I NEVER think to do my title words in different colors, I really should do that.

one day I want to be as crafty and talented as you Gwen. Atleast that's my wish. Wink The baby hat and adult hat are amazing. I don't think it needs a tassel at the top...it's darling as it is. Or you could hot glue a big flower or something, if that was easier?

The shadowing on the letters on the layout is just right. It makes them look 3D. I had to take a second look to make sure they weren't...I was going to comment that I couldn't believe you used popdots on all those letters!! Is the Life's Little Moments from GS? Love it!

You are one talented lady. I really like the hats but LOVE that bag that you made. It looks professionally made. I love looking at your stuff.
