Was at Walmart (which I NEVER do), but alas, there I was. I needed envelopes for the very few cards I make and normally I make invitation sized cards thus needing invitation envelopes. I then saw greeting card sized envelopes. Wow!!! I often wondered if yall weren't making bigger cards than I do cause there is so much more on your cards sometimes than I can fit on my little ones. So now I'm curious, do yall use the invitation sized envelopes or greeting card sized envelopes???

I do invitation sized cards. I make my own with cardstock instead of buying the prefolded empty one and I like that I can make 2 cards from one sheet of 8.5x11 cardstock, so that is what I stick with.
I do the same thing. 2 cards out of one sheet of cardstock.
I buy the white cardstock at Wal-Mart (Like $5 for 100 sheets or something) and the invitation envelopes there also, so it ends up being pretty cheap.
Generally I always make 2 cards from an 8.5x11 piece of cardstock. That is the "standard" size greeting card. For my birth announcements I cut an 8.5x11 in half, but didn't fold them to create a card, so had to buy the envelopes specifically in that size at walmart.

I generally buy invitation envelopes and cut a 8.5 by 11 sheet of paper in two.
However, I do buy the 5x7 cards and envelope bundle from Hobby Lobby when I can get it half off. So I get 50 cards and 50 envelopes for about $5.
My birth announcements are 5x7... I'm assuming that's greeting card size.
I do invitation size. I buy the cards/envelopes that come in sets of 50 so I always have a matching envelope (kraft or white).

I use so many different things. I have cards that I buy in packs that are 5x7 and 4x6. I'm partial to the craft paper cards b/c they are such thick weight. When I make cards I generally make them 4x6 or 3x5.
If I make them with Wild Card I always make the envelope first as large as I can get it and then make the card to fit it.
Wow such a long way around there and still not sure I really answered it!
Mainly I do invitation size ... but I got a HUGE bag of envelopes from freecycle that had previously belonged to greeting cards (i.e. Hallmark is stamped on the backside of the envelopes) so I make all sorts of sized cards when I need to. Typically though, I stick to the two cards from the 8.5x11 cardstock like most others here.
