I've never heard of Saskatoon pie either. lol.
Thanks ladies! Sooo happy to have today off and get lots of stuff done. lol.
Funny story...we bought all the trimmings a few days ago to make ourselves a nice Thanksgiving dinner for just the two of us (which is a big deal as we usually eat things we QUICKLY cook on the George Foreman grill lol)...So we're talking today while getting a million things done around the house and I say "ugh...I REALLY don't wanna make that big meal. We still have so much to do." Wayne goes "so let's not. We can throw that chicken in the oven tomorrow and have bits of "the fixings" all week" .....So you know what we currently have in the oven for our Thansgiving dinner? Fish sticks and fries! LOL! Funny thing was, both of us said how we hadn't had them in YEARS and it brought back really nice childhood memories. haha...so I guess it led us to a thankful heart anyway
Saskatoon berry pie? It's like blueberry pie but with saskatoon berries ... I made the mistake last week of thinking 'Canada Dry' was only Canadian, so I don't want to assume that Sasktoons are only from, well, Saskatoon lol (since they grow like wildfire here, too). I'm not a big fan of any berry, no particular reason I don't like these ones.
