Hi, I'm Andrea *aka* Andie. I'm one of the mods of the January 2008 Birth Board, and a few members are fellow scrapbookers who recently got me into wanting to do the same, preferably digital scrapbooking. I have PSP 7, and I thought it wouldn't be hard since I used to make computer graphics and animations - but I haven't actually been doing that regularly in over 2 years!
The tutorials I found are pretty easy to follow, and let me tell you I'm loving this already. But I'm having a hard time using transparency. I'm trying to "fancy" edge out a photo I want to use but for the life of me, even after using tutorial instructions, I can't get a transprancy to stick. It will look like I did but when I copy and paste it to the scrap page it still has a solid bg.
So is there anyone else who uses PSP that can either give me the step by step or a good website? I've tried both the GIF optimizer, and the setting palette transparancy with no luck. Blah. You would think it's like riding a bike.
Thanks for the help ahead of time.
NVM - I figured it out... I was pasting the images as a new selection and not a transparent selection.
Anywho, for the trouble, I'm almost done with my first page and I will post it when I'm finished.
The paper was a premade layout (I just really liked it) but the element/embellishments, whatever you call it - I added that, the letters, and edged the pics on my own. Wasn't so hard after all. Did I do okay??
You did more than OK! I think it's very precious! Glad to see you here too. I hope you continue to post and show off your handiwork!

Oh most definately!... I only have so many pics of my little one as he's still in my belly - but I have brand new twin neices that were just born 9-26 that I plan to make many, many pages for.
Hey great job on the layout and welcome to the board!!
Can't wait to see more
