HELP!!

I love to scrapbook even though I'm not the best at it. My first scrapbook is a family scrapbook. My problem is that I finished all the pages it came with, then added more, and it's already almost too full. I bought the scrapbook at Hobby Lobby. The thing is, I can't really find scrapbooks that hold a lot of pages. I'm about to start a scrapbook for my daughter, but I don't want to own a billion different scrapbooks because they don't hold a lot of pages.

Anybody know where to find scrapbooks that hold LOTS of pages?

I remember seeing the movie "The Ya-Ya Sisterhood" and they had a HUGE scrapbook that held TONS of pages... I just don't know where to find something like that.

I use 3-ring on my 12x12 of my son. They hold LOTS of pages!!! I switched to that from postbound. I bought mine on Ebay and it was much cheaper than anywhere else. BTW, nice to "meet" you and hope you stick around. We'd love to see some of your work! Smile

This is the same company I bought my scrapbooks from. I didn't buy this exact one, but they don't have the "boyish" ones I bought listed right now. I really like mine, because it holds so many pages. And the price is not too bad.

How many pages are we talking about here? I used a couple of extenders on mine.

That's a good idea Charys! It's a pain to take apart the other ones and add pages. I'll have to get one of those! Smile

Well, right now I have 14 page protectors that are filled with pages except for a couple. I already put extenders on it and I guess the prongs could hold more pages, but whenever I add more pages I have to put something really heavy on my scrapbook to hold it shut for a while, until it gives way and stays closed on its own.

Thanks for the advice and the greeting. I'll probably stick around, even though my work isn't as creative as y'alls... but I guess I need more practice. I'm a SAHM who is attempting to be crafty (LOL)... But I'm a picture freak! I have so many picture plans and future projects that I get stressed just thinking about it.

For my wedding pics, I'm just going to have a bunch of 5x7's printed and put them in an elegant photo album and have some framed and put around the house. I have a few pages in my family scrapbook that I have to catch up on (halloween, cousin's baby shower, and I think a couple others). But I'm really excited about my baby scrapbook... I have HUNDREDS of photos that I need to get printed. I figure I'll put the ones that don't make it to the scrapbook I'll put into a photo album and in frames for the house.

When I used my extenders I put those little cardboard strips in between every 3 pages or so. It raised the spine and helped it to level out so it is flat. DS's First Year scrapbook has 26 page protectors in it.

A friend of mine uses the 12x12 albums from Creative Memories. Hers get HUGE.
I just use 3 ring binders. They're cheap, you can easily change pages around, and they work great!
