Here I go with more questions!!

Now I need to come up with a challenge! :dontknow:. I didn't know the winner got to do this, such pressure!! Can I give a few suggestions and you guys tell me what you think or if you have already done it?
Suggestions:
1. Loving You-somewhere in the title, you pick what you are lovin')
2. Something sweet-can be an embellishment, pic, title, etc. as long as there is something sweet on your LO
(I was getting stuff out for V-Day to give to my room mom today, can you tell?)
3. Monochromatic (all same color scheme) LO
4. Then & Now
I'll take any suggestions if someone has a good idea!

My next question is about the virtual crop. Should I get pics and things sorted prior to? How does this work? I'm so intrigued! And... I have a student teacher coming soon and won't be able to take off so I wanted to take a personal day before then. So, today I took off on the 16th plus I'm off on the 19th for MLK! Yay for the long weekend! I should be able to get lots done. Oh, and DH will be working !!! Even better! Wink

I like all the ideas for the challenge...I think you can just pick any of them since you're the winner. But better wait for a host for that one. Wink

I've only done one VC, but I had pics ready prior cause mine are organized by the year anyway. We all just scrap and check in as we can. There are several challenges that go on during it with deadlines, so there are some time restraints, but that's it. Yay for your long weekend and DH gone working. Smile

the only one we've already done is Then and Now. Wow, I love all your suggestions. that's the prize for winning....YOU get to pick. Lol I know, picking is so not my favorite thing, but I love your suggestions.
You just create the thread, remind everyone to remove their siggies, tell us when the challenge ends (usually about 10 days) and either Stephanie or myself will get it stickied for ya. Smile

A virtual crop is just a concentrated time for everyone to scrapbook. Since we can't meet together in person, we do it virtually. There will be threads to chat and check in in. There will be challenges to inspire you. (Like, create a valentine/love layout. Not saying that's a challenge, just an example.) The goal of challenges is to get you to try new things or give you an idea of something to make. You don't have to do them though. Anything you get done (challenge related or not), you can post.

I don't know about the others, but a crop makes me take time to actually make cards (I don't scrapbook). Otherwise, I just don't seem to find the time. And just knowing that there are others doing so too makes it fun.

Michelle said it perfectly.

Crops are just a GREAT time to get a lot of scrapbooking done, while chatting with everyone online. plus, there's always some prizes to be had.... Wink

OK, got it!!! I was thinking we only did challenges so I was confused at how I could plan what I wanted to get done ahead of time. I did tell you all about my OCD personality right? I'm with ya' now!

I sent you a PM with the previous challenges just a minute ago. Your ideas are great. Can't wait to see which one you choose. Smile

Oh, and how wonderful that you will get to be here for most of the crop. That is fantastic. DH is home during the weekend so it I usually have to pop in and out, but it is still nice to be a part of it. Smile

I think you picked an awesome weekend to take off from work! Enjoy the long weekend and LOTS of time to play with your cricut.

You might want to have some pics piled up so you're ready. You never know what a challenge might inspire you to do or use!

I usually don't have things picked out in advance for the crops. I have a list of layouts to do, and pictures sorted by those layouts, but that's it (that's my normal state of affairs). I let the challenges guide me, especially when I can't spend as much time at th VC as I want to. (DH isn't terribly too supportive of me when I do a VC, and I just got a commitment for that Saturday night - I'm going to cram as much as I can into the first two weekdays ...).

As far as the challenges. I like the monochromatic one. Wink But the something sweet one would be fun too!
