Gosh I haven't been on here for awhile. Life just got busy for me and I had my little boy 6 weeks ago. I really want to start scrapbooking his stuff soon though. I basically stopped when I finished DD's 1 year. I also finally ordered all 32 pages and my mom has them right now in the states. Can't wait to see them on Wednesday! thanks to whoever posted the scrapbooksplease.com link. I went through them and they had a sale the past few weeks that I took advantage of. I want to get into paper scrapbooking soon. I am headed to the states this next week for a few weeks and was wondering what is the first few things you recommend buying to start out paper scrapbooking? And is there anything at walmart or target that is a "must have" ? I'll go read the sticky here soon about paper scrapbooking. I just wanted to know what is the one thing that is highly recommended for paper scrapbooking (besides the cricut i dont think i want one of those just yet hehe ) thanks! hope to share some pages in the future. I am also getting a new camera on Thursday so I'll have lots of pictures soon. Can't wait! Now if I only I could find the time to scrapbook.
Your kids are too cute! Congrats!
I haven't done much paper scrapping lately, but some of the first things I bought were "fancy" scissors (bought a pack of 20 for like $15 or something) a pack of multicolored paper, a ton of gluesticks, and some fun stickers. Then I bought other stuff depending on what kind of album I was making. Bought a wedding "kit" for our wedding album, a bunch of "family" stuff when I made one for my parents anniversary...
Oh, and an album to put it all in!
GL and I hope to see some pics of your paper LOs soon!
CONGRATS on a beautiful baby boy!
A GOOD pair of scissors, plenty of glue, zots, patterned paper, plain paper, buttons, ribbon, and brads. Those are the things I use the most! HTH! Can't wait to see some of your work!
I use my paper cutter absolutely every time I scrap. I think all of my other "must-haves" have already been mentioned: good scissors (I also bought the decorative ones, but I never actually use mine ), patterned and plain paper, glue (you might want to ge a few different types to try out), and stickers. Oh, a corner rounder might be nice to have, too!
I also have the deco scissors and never use them. I would definitely get a paper trimmer. You will get a TON of use out of it ---- straight lines!
Adhesive is another must. Glue dots are the best thing ever for attaching embellishments.
I'd stock up on some basic colors of cardstock (Kraft paper is a MUST in my stash).
I agree, a paper cutter is a MUST. I use it every single time I create anything. Glue sticks, Zots, (basically good adhesives) a corner rounder, and some ribbon are my faves. Oh and congrats on the new baby!! He is so cute!

Paper Trimmer!!! (Just as everyone else said...hehe). Love Glue Dots!!! Paper (Solid, Patterned & Textured)!!! Ribbon!!! Stickers!!! Brads!!!
I'm gonna add paper cutter to my list, too! I don't have one and really wish I did!
I don't know how much time I have spent drawing lines on the back of my pictures and trying to keep the cuts straight.
Oh, and I tried using my "fancy" scissors on pictures at first - don't reccomend it. I learned really quick to limit them to paper.
thanks alot ladies! now i know what to buy that is most important... ill try to buy it while im in the states since everything is so darn expensive here. I cant wait to go shopping for paper scrapbooking stuff i have some fancy paper cutters that i havent used yet. Havent had the opportunity to use em yet Does walmart or target sell kraft paper? by the sheet or a pack?
Yep...paper trimmer is the most important thing I owe...all 4 of them...LOL
I have 40 pairs of decorative scissors, and the only person that uses them is my DD. I would also get cardstock in your favorite colors, good adhesives and then whatever embellishments look good to you. I'm not a sticker person, so I head for brads, ribbons, fibers, bling etc.
Congrats on the baby!
