How in the world...

...do you work in time to scrap stuff for YOU? I've been at this just about a year now and I haven't been able to make one thing to keep LOL

I started with a book for a good friend (my impetus for scrapping to begin with--she's hard to buy for!) of our kiddos, then a wedding book for our friends who were married last summer (4 days after their wedding that we photographed, tyvm!), then books for each of the grandparents of P's first year (so 3 of those), a book for SIL and Bruce for Christmas (those are still without pics--I just gave the prepped and papered chipboard books LOL), a failed project for my BFF (chipboard book fell apart completely), Christmas album for MIL, cards for the swaps, and now I am working on a belated Father's Day mini-album for my dad (of P on our trip to England) and a 40th birthday present for my BFF (NOT going to fail this time!). *WHEW* I think that's it....

But I can't seem to work in time to scrap for myself! I'm dying to do P's first year, our wedding, our trip to England... so much! I just can't seem to work it all in... how DO you do it?

I should add that I do paper and am not at all fast......

Lol Honestly, I put my scrapping first and only do outside scrapping periodically. I can't imagine having all those outside projects to finish. I have a hard enough time scrapping for the grandparents, but digital does help me because I can use the same page for many people.

Be more greedy! Wink LOL, I usually put my work first too. Although with my sister's graduation and wedding, I haven't had much time for my own pages lately either.

Easy, the only things I do for other people I do at the same time as mine. And the only people I do things for are my mom and my cousin who watches him.

LOL only thing we have that I have done is a frame of me and Tessa that I did for DH one v-day of his girls. I still have nothing scrapped of Peter.

That's funny! I'm the opposite, I have yet to scrapbook something for somebody else! I get all these wonderful ideas from you ladies, yet, I can barely find time to scrapbook for myself!!! I did buy 3 Altoid tins, which I'm currently trying to get the mints eaten (at work...LOL) so I can make those for my 3 Mom's.

I don't scrap for others either besides cards. Maybe when the baby comes that will change.

I usually scrap for myself. Call me selfish too! Wink I make a lot of cards, so I guess that's scrapping for others, but I have a hard time thinking of gift ideas.

Ditto to this, 100% ... plus I think because I started scrapping 8 years before I had a baby, I did enough scrapping for other people now I can just scrap my stuff (although some of my fave pages are ones I made of other people's kids! lol). Digital is easy though - if you really need to you can just swap out pictures and journalling and voila, new page for someone .... I also give copies to the grandparents (easy to do in digital, you just order one more - instead of having to make them).

I think if you make yours more a priority you might get the chance? Or every time you do a project for someone else, you have to complete one of yours before you can do another one for someone else?
