First, I'm sick. Like my brain isn't working and I feel like crap sick. DH has been gone since the 7th, he's back on the 29th. So I guess I'm starting my thread with a whine about poor me. But really, poor me.
I need help with two things. If you use SCAL, can you share your favorite sites for downloading cut files? And if you have time, maybe you can help me find two things. Google is not my friend today, and with a truly foggy brain, I just can't seem to get anywhere. Andrew's birthday is on Monday, and I want to make him a birthday card that looks like an iPod Touch. I know I could design my own, it can't be that hard. But I can't begin to describe to you how my brain isn't working, it's so sad. So I'm trying to find one that's already out there.
Another thing I need is a cut file that looks like the Native American Pueblo homes. Jordan has a project to do for school, and I'd love to be able to cut out the houses for her. They didn't live in teepees, they lived in actual buildings. Here's one:
Anyhow, I feel like there should be a cut file somewhere out there that represents that.
If you can help me in any way, I'd really appreciate it!!!!!

no luck on the pueblo .... I think we'lll photocopy something out of a book for that one. but I have an awesome ipod coming together thanks to a great woman named Penny. ; ) I'll share it when it's done. Here's her blog, she's super nice and emailed me right back when I wrote her. http://pennyduncancreations.blogspot.com
Here's the card, just loving how it came out. for the icons, I actually designed that in Photoshop and had it printed as a glossy print at CVS and trimmed it. That took some time (with the design) as the size had to be PERFECT since I couldn't change too much with the svg I got from Penny. (meaning the parts that had the buttons) I got it right, so was relieved about that. The top layer is a transparency over top of the icons and paper. The spray adhesive I used didn't go on evenly, so you can see that in the photo. But in person, it's not quite as bad. It actually looks REALLY COOL!
And I wrote a dorky poem for the inside
Totally made me miss scrapbooking ... I need to schedule that back into my life, along with exercise.
Wowzers!!! What an awesome card Gwen. I bet he'll LOVE that. TFS
