I need some help on a project please!

I am making these for gifts and I am putting them in a regular picture frame. Because of this I can't really put much in them that is raised up. I am tempted to leave them like they are, but worry they need more. I have a stamp set that is just black ink and there are two of them that one says precious and one says memories...I could stamp put beside where the pics are. Any thoughts or ideas would be great! TIA

I would definately put the year on them ... or each of their names and the ages at the time of the photo. I think those are really nice gifts.

I agree that the year would be great. Do you have some stencils so you could cut out "08 and put it in one of the corners? or even put "20" on the left and "08" on the right.

yes, the year would be a good finisher, but those are really nice and cute! I would either print it a few times on a sheet of paper pretty small and just cut out the journaling strip, or write it down below on the bottom right of the photos. That's just my opinion.

I don't have stencils Stephanie, but I can trace off my chipboard that I use for that.
Would it look okay to move the pic over to one side and then put 2008 on the other side?

Hmmmm...what do you mean Charys? Like print it over and over on white paper and cut that out? Then would I mat it and put it on one side? Or how bout printing it and putting a strip that runs from side to side but only an inch or so high and run it behind the pic? Does that make sense?

What if there name and age sat on top of their handprints sort of, like ... how do I describe this ... name and age smaller that sits on top of the pinkie and ring finger of one hand and the bottom right of the palm of another. I hope that makes sense.

So you're saying to write that in Joan?

Those are sweet. (I just used my students hands and feet today to make a reindeer). I do handprints with my students for Mother's Day and include a little poem with them. I usually write their names small under or on the side of their print. Make sense?

I think it would be cute to just put a '08 in the top corner and leave the pic centered.

Thanks for all the help guys. I like the idea Kelly of just writing it in...actually I have no choice as my printer ink just decided to run out. Sad I'm not going to do anything and see what other ideas I get, but I think I will just take a black marker and write their names in the bottom real small and put an 08 in the corner.

Kelly, I also got this idea from something like your mothers day poem. When my oldest was in daycare they did that with his handprints and a poem and I framed it myself. That was the BEST present I've ever received. I LOVED it...so sweet you do that, I'm sure all the mothers really love it.

Can't wait to see what you do Carrie...I'm sure it will be good. Be sure to take another picture.

Kelly, that's funny, I JUST did that of my son's handprint/feet tonight! I'm working on framing two this evening. One for a gift and one to keep. Sorry to hijack Carrie, I just thought that was neat. Smile

Great minds think alike! You can use their fingers for Holly berries too. That's what we added today and they look really cute. I cut a holly leaf out of a sponge to stamp it with.

Carrie what about strips like this under the photo? Not the whole page just the paper strips that say Tyson's b-day and weight and stuff. You could add names and dates and ages. I love them so far.
