Default I want to scrapbook ...

but the schools are closed here and I'm left entertaining all four kids. Andrew wants to have a friend over, and I so don't want another kid here. And I don't want to ask any mom to drive in the snow to drop off their kid either (not that the roads are terrible, but they're still slippery).

I wanted to sew today too.

Anyhow, just venting here. I plan to make cookies with the kids, if the baby lets me. Hard to tell when he will be a needy mood. Thinking about maybe wearing him on my back while we do the cookies.

I like have other kids over because then they play together and unless meal time I hardly see them at all. I get more done when my kids have friends over then when they are home and it is just me.

I agree, friends over is a good thing. I though miss Austin when his friends are here...silly me.

my problem is that Andrew likes to torment Jordan ... and sometimes it's WORSE when he has a friend over. Breaking up fights sucks!

Tough. I'm so sorry. I feel that way on days that Andrea won't take a nap. It drives me crazy to have stuff I want to do but my plans get messed up. Hopefully you can still get a little done.

I don't brake them up. When I hear it I yell (from where ever I am in the house) "is anyone bleeding?" IF they say no then I yell back "no fighting or _____ goes home" (and I do send them home, and my child has o come back up stairs) If they complain or tattle that so and so did something to them first. I say "work it out yourselves or _____ goes home, try another game" Truly I only get up if they are hurt or I have to get one ready to leave. But see we have a playroom it is a privilege to play in it if they can't behave in it then they have to come out of it and to them that is a punishment worse then death, we have not toys any other place in the house.

I really like that idea. We are not there yet, so I don't have any advice to offer, but I'm sorry! I hope you get some time to yourself today to scrap and sew.

Playrooms are a great thing!! We have one here because of the daycare kids. Making cookies sounds like a wonderful idea!! I might have to steal it from you!

well, they had off again today. I had Andrew's friend over, and Andrew was occupied. But I had laundry to do, the cookies to bake (didn't get it done yesterday as my butter was frozen), and kids just needing me. I'm so bummed I got nothing done that *I wanted* to do. Stupid chores.
