I did post this on the photo board, but here's a modified post for here so you can help me too. (also posted on the July08 board to share my little man there)
Jack is 9 months tomorrow, but we are spending the weekend with my parents so I did his pictures before we left. I took a TON of pictures, and am sad that not so many are usable IMO.
And before I forget, here's his latest stats - 19lbs 10oz (just under 50%) & 29" (75%). He's delayed in gross motor skills, but I knew this. He's just behind his siblings at this age. I'm not worried, and the doc said that he'll catch up. He's my last one, I don't need him crawling yet.
Anyhow, struggling because the outfit I chose was too small for him. I was short on time, so I just pulled off his socks and prayed that his pants were short enough to look like long shorts.
I change the photo on the wall every month (for the first 12 months) so my goal is to find a good one to hang up there for the next month. I'm hoping for some thoughts on the best crop here. Full body vs. close up is the struggle.
Here's the original - sorry it's so big!
Crop 2 - I like getting close in, but am not sure about chopping off his right arm like that.
One that I really love, but DH doesn't want it on the wall. Does it do anything for you? It is cropped.
And this one cracked me up
And then here's DH's favorite, but it's for the scrapbook page when he's one - I take a photo of Jack every month with his green elephant. Love how he's snuggling it.
They are all great! But you know what the girls on the photography board say about chopping limbs. LOL ...Personally I like that crop best (2) but that's just me. I also like your 1stbut think just a tad more room above his head would be good. That funny one is great. You've taken some wonderful shots!
I LOVE Crop 1!! That's my favorite. Very frameable. My second favorite is the one of him on the chair looking off. You caught a very sweet moment in my opinion. I'd want to frame those two. Gosh, you're sooo good. Do you wanna fly to Texas and photograph an active 2 year old? Free lodging, food, friendship, the works. haha

I love the 1st crop. I absolutely love the one of him looking off. Capturing the moment, That is one of the things that makes a great photographer IMO.

Love the first crop here too. And the chair ones are GREAT also Gwen. He's such a doll.
