June mini-challenge

I really liked Trina's "4 Things" challenge last month, so I am going to piggyback on it. The subject can be whatever you like, but you need to include these 4 things:
1. Flower(s)
2. Something sparkly
3. The word "fun"
4. Food

Let's say June 28 for the deadline - I'll remember b/c it's my birthday! Biggrin

Oh, and don't forget to turn your siggies off to make it easier to see the pics!

Happy scrapping!

Very nice! I like the ants at the bottom. Smile I can totally see the sparkles in the fruit. Your kids look like they're having lots of fun.

Yeah Angie I've seen your story around the boards and was happy when i saw you were on the scrapbooking board cuz I think your story is inspirational. And what a delight once you finally got that babe in your arms to get one as sweet and adorable as Jamie!:D

here is mine. I had a LOT of fun with it. Good Challenge!

The journaling is kind of small so it says

No doubt about it, Freeze Pops are your very very favorit! You cry if you lose a drop and you throw a huge fit if we go near you while you have one! Even if we just want to help you push it up or cut off the top for you. This day you went and ate it as far away from us as you could get!

The gems around the pics on the side are sparkly and the chipboard on the bottom picture says fun fun fun

My entry:

It's part of a 2 page LO. I'll post them together in another thread. The fish is my "food" and if you don't like that, my boob is under my shirt in the corner of the bottom picture and that's her food! Lol Man, I thought food would be the easy one, but it was the hardest for me!

if you still want to go the winter route you could use those stars from your "sparkly" section (can't tell on here lol) cuz they're sorta like winter decorations

Here is mine...it is a LO of DH's 30th birthday party. The sparkly things are frogs (I am a frog fanatic and they matched the color scheme). The food is DH's cheesecake.
Journaling says "Jason's 30! For jason's 30th birthday, we had lots of friends and family to our house on 1/26/08. there was so much good food, and the birthday boy blew out candles on his pumpkin cheesecake. after cake, we all went to the basement to play Rock band.Everyone had a great time!"

(I don't know why all the pics of me are of my back??? But there I am 37 weeks preggo playing rock band guitar...and hosting a party)

ah yes, that is the infamous birthday hat. MIL makes everyone wear it on their b-day and get a picture. then your picture goes in this "birthday book" she has, and you fill out a page (the page is like a journal that asks where you celebrated, with who, what presents you got, hopes for the coming year, etc.) I had to wear "the hat" out in public one year when we went to the cheesecake factory

Love the birthday page! The flower blends in nicely. That's embarassing about the hat, but good for your MIL for keeping that book.

Here's mine:
So I sort of cheated. The "flower" idea was completed in April when I thought of the idea, but I had no idea how to use it. I found some sparkly animal stickers and thought this will work for the zoo. I really like how it came out, but I realized I was missing "food" so I added a bunch of bananas by the gorilla sticker Smile

The journaling basically says, during your first couple months you went with mom and Aunt Andi/cousin Jonathan to the local zoo. I am going to follow this page with our trip to the Milwaukee County Zoo a month later.

I like the zoo one! Very creative use of bananas!

Don't forget to turn your siggies off, ladies. It makes it easier to see the LOs. If you have forgotten you can go back and remove them. Just hit "edit" and then "advanced" and uncheck the siggy box. Biggrin

I had a hard time with this challenge - every time I sat down to do it I kept changing it and then it didn't fit. Finally, this is what I came up with.

The food is the apples on the journalling card, and I put some sparkly stars underneath everything on the background paper. The word 'fun' is in the journalling Smile

Journalling:
Mommy has so much fun dressing you up all the time in pretty outfits that people have given you.

I really like the dress up page! I have so many pics of Karl, just bc he's wearing a cute outfit. I liked how you cropped the pics, so you see the outfit, but it doesn't have to be the full body.

Here we go! This is page one of a two page LO. (My Xyron ran out, so page 2 will have to wait.)

Sparkly - the paper
Flowers - the embellishments
Fun - Fun memories sticker
Food - Crawfish!

Brandie, I love your LO. Is that a 12x12 page?

I really would like to start working on single photo pages.

Yup, 12x12. It's page 1 of a 2 page LO. I hadn't done a single photo LO, so it was a test.
