Guess what happened! The easter egg hunt started at 7:30 tonight so we went with my sister and her family. Well we get there at 6;45 or so and guess what...IT WAS OVER! I guess they were trying to line everyone up an hour before and someone yelled GO! They said everyone ran crazy and they could not stop it. So everyone was showing up finding out it was over and there were like 100 kids crying! This is my part where I have to brag a little.
All of my kids and my sisters kids said it's okay without being upset at all and just asked if they could stay at the park and play. I was so proud of all of them so my sisters dh and mine ran to the house and got bats, balls and gloves and with my sisters 5 kids and my four we made an entire team. The park cleared out real quick so we were the only ones there and had the BEST baseball game ever. My sister also just had a baby so we sat on the side cheering our kids and dh's on, and took pics. We might have missed the egg hunt but it turned out to be one of the best nights ever. I can't wait to scrap the egg hunt we missed!
wow, that sounds crazy! glad your kids were so good about it all.
so why start an egg hunt so late? curious about that one.
What a blessing in disguise! So cool that it turned out to be such an awesome day! Woohoo for experiences like that. Can't wait to see your pages.

That's awesome it worked out so well for you even if the egg hunt was missed. Looking forward to seeing the LO for your b-ball game.

oh, that would have been cool! if it was supposed to be a flashlight hunt, I wonder why people thought it was okay to go early (I mean, they should have realized it was a false start).
