Copying this from my blog, as I'm too tired to recreate my share for you guys.
I still haven't managed to find the time to catch up on any of my scrapbooking. But I have gotten a little creative fix from making cards. I feel like I'm getting rusty, these all took longer to create than I thought they would. I wish my days had a few extra hours so that I could do it all - be a mom/wife, take care of the house, enjoy my photography, scrapbook my memories, tackle creative projects on my dreamlist ...
However, my days have 24 hours like everyone else, and it's already after 1am. So that means my bed is overdue for my tired body. I just need to escape the computer after sharing these creations, and not get distracted by anything else online. I know I'm not the only one with this problem, online distractions. *sigh* There's just so much to read and see!
Well, I'm rambling ... here's my latest, all made in the last month or so.
My parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary last month.
It also comes to let you know
You both mean more each day
To everyone your lives have touched
In such a loving way.
Happy 40th Anniversary, Mom and Dad
My neighbor is expecting a baby girl at the end of August. We had a baby shower for her, as this is her first girl after having two boys. Lots of pink at her shower!
I agonized about what to put on the inside. I didn't want to put anything corny, but I wanted it to be meaningful. After looking online at ideas for well over an hour, I decided to just write her a note from my heart instead.
(I got the cut files here and used my new Cricut Expression to cut the card)
Have to share a photo of the gift too ... I typically suck at wrapping gifts, but I think I did a good job here and took a photo to show it. *The rattle has the ribbons going through the top of the cardboard holder.
Made a thank you card for Jordan's teacher. He loves his coffee, so we got him a Starbucks gift card. I love how this little giftcard card turned out.
My good friend was born the day after Christmas. With our trip to Florida last December, I didn't have time to make her a birthday card, and vowed to myself that I'd send her a half-birthday card this summer.
Lastly, here's Jordan's birthday card. I spent a ton of time on this, because I wanted to get it just right. She is really into peace signs these days, and she's always about love. So I think this card is really her (especially since I used some of her favorite colors too).
I originally cut this "LOVE" for the front, but it didn't work out well there. Decided to use it on the back instead, and she liked discovering it there later.
And now it's closer to 2am ... I sigh as I head off to bed, knowing my kids will wake me earlier than I want to get out of bed ... yes, I really could use more hours in my day.
