Okay, this is a REALLY OLD layout - Jordan will be 5 in July, and I must have done the page about 3 years ago (as I recall she was closer to 2 by the time I finished her first year). But I remember making these pages like it was yesterday. I worked for a long time on them (I was at a crop at the LSS) and was so proud of them. Aja's recent layout using these jars prompted me to share this. You girls really haven't seen the first year scrapbooks of my three kids since I was beyond that when I started posting here. So I feel okay in sharing something old. There's quite a difference in Jordan's age in the two pages - the left page she's probably 9 months old, eating spaghetti (and I also remember that day like yesterday, what a mess she was!) and the pages on the right she's 5-6 months old eating her first jarred foods. But the theme went together nicely - an advantage of waiting until the year is over before making the book.
Besides, I am STILL tagging consignment stuff and can't work on anything new (I have about 100 items left to tag - when all is said and done, I think I'm looking at over 300 items total). I did have a break for Easter because we weren't here. I've been sorting a lot and looking for hangers. I've had to get creative with the hangers as I don't have enough two part baby clothes hangers. I now have some outfits using adult pants hangers where the bottoms are hanging out the sleeve of the top as the top is hanging on the pant hangers so the clips are out the sleeves. It's quite comical. But I really have no choice. The sale is April 4-5 so it will be here and gone soon! Then I will have a dreaded garage sale to see what else I can get rid of. I have FIVE BINS filled with winter/fall clothes that I can't sell at this consignment sale that might go at a garage sale. Anyhow, that's my update there. Oh, and I have some stuff I need to get on ebay (single Rolling Stone issues from the 80s - they really do sell on ebay, I was amazed! so I'm gonna get rid of mine, I don't need them).
There's my update on me. And now the pages.
How cute! I love her expressions!
Man, you are one busy woman. I will continue thinking about you. I hope everything gets back to order ASAP!

*I* remember those pages Gwen!!! I'm glad you shared them. I always loved that film-strip of photos... been meaning to scraplift that for some time.
I used Picture It to make that film strip, it took me forever to figure that out back then. Far cry from the digital work I can do now.
BTW, the filmstrip is printed on vellum - I think that was one of my first attempts to print on vellum (Andrew's last page of his first book is also printed on vellum, so I guess the filmstrip was not the first)
Those are so cute! I'm so glad you shared your older pages with us! I can't get over that paper! If I find some at Michael's, I'm gonna go back and scrap a baby food page for K's book. LOL
Just reading about all the stuff you've had to do for the consignment sale exhausts me. Phew! I hope you can get as much done as you can before the sale. I'm serious...if we lived closer I would love to come over and help! It sure would go quicker with friends.

Those did go really nice together. I love the pages. I love making pages like that - 2 seperate LOs that blend with colors or background. Of course I love that baby food paper!
I'm glad your consignment sale will be done soon. At least then you will be done tagging clothing.
oooh! Very cool pages!! I never know what to do with printed pages.. yours looks very nice!
