Hi there - I haven't been around lately - scrapbooking has taken a backseat lately... Anyway, I came up with the idea to do a scrapbook for 2007 - a two-page LO for each month - and then have it printed as gifts for all the grandparents for Christmas. I started on January yesterday.
I always struggle with adding embellishments - because I like to keep things very simple and clean. I also didn't want to do journaling for this book - because it's a compilation of pics from different things throughout the month - we'll see if I change my mind as I make my way through the months.
Anyway - here is January (so far)... This is one of the only months where we have professional pics - so I wanted to focus on those for the first page - since we only handed out the larger one...
That is a great idea. And I love the first 2 pages. She is so darn cute!!!
And this is me, so please ignore if you choose -- I know you don't like embelshments but what about finding 2 little ones to put on either side of the professional pic. It might help balance the January 2007 on the opposite page.
I love your idea! What sizes are you printing them? Just curious!
I think you are doing a great job!

Thanks girls. I'm planning to print 8x8, I think. I'm making the LO's large enough to print 12x12 - just in case I want to print it larger for myself, or use any of the LO's in a different book.
I don't dislike embellishments - I just don't like to add them unless they add to the LO. I agree - the first page is a little too simple - I may play with adding something... BTW - you should have seen my first stab at January - I was originally going to do 1-page LO's - my first stab was awful - the colors were completely different, and it sucked - so I scrapped it and started over.
Both are simple, but so pretty. It makes the pictures stand out. What a neat gift idea!
