I'm lurking around... and it looks like I have about Oh, 9 million post to read. I'll read up tomorrow but may not reply to much. I hope you all are doing well.
Still waiting on a text from Brittany, unless you all have heard something.
Just wanted to say I am OK! DH and I are good. I haven't really been much in the mood for scrapping so I let a teacher friend borrow about 10 of my carts. She called tonight and told me she was in heaven! So, you haven't missed anything my way.
My new school is finally ready, and I'm really excited to get over there and work and just move on. It should be great moving my stuff from the garage to my classroom in the 100 degree weather, don't you think? Hopefully I can get it all done this week and then still have a few weeks before the school year begins. My the time is going fast. I'll take some pics and share when I'm done. The new school is AWESOME!
Everything is good here. We never heard again from the birthfamily and the lawyer failed to reach them as well. I just pray every day that God gives them strength. And so life goes on and we go right on with it. I'm at peace though, it took me some time and many hours floating in the pool with my Ipod BUT I've made peace.
So, I'm sorry to have been so scarce. I'm going to try to catch up and hopefully find some mojo.
Alright, random question- what do 3 year old boys like? I'm fixing to start a project and I'm not really sure. I know I can always go with sports, cars and trucks, dinosaurs but I'm not feeling them. I have this pirate thought in mind but are pirates too "big" for a boy turning 3? Would love some input from you guys. Oh, and I'll share my project when I'm done!
Take care you all!
I found this last night and like how its pirate but still quite kiddy. I think I would maybe accent the ship and stuff. So what's your thoughts?
I think it all depends on the individual child. Dinosaurs are ALWAYS popular with my boys, at any age. I do like that rug though.

That rug is super cute. I'd say pirates is okay for age 3. I know a bunch of shows did Pirate episodes (Dora, Backyardigans, Little Einsteins- those are the ones I know of for sure). Karl's only 2 so not sure what he'll like next year, but I think our nephew was really in to the movie Cars and Thomas the train.
Glad to hear your doing pretty well. I still thinks it's pretty crappy that the birth family couldn't just let you know they changed their minds. I keep praying that YOUR baby will make an appearance soon.
Kelly, I'm always thinking about you. That sucks that you never heard from the birth family. I bet she has no idea what she's put you through ... and I'm sure she's going through a lot herself. But I'm glad you came back to update us.
As far as the little boy goes, I don't think he's too young for pirates, but 4 is a better age for that theme, I think. At 3, they're still really into different characters. I know my 3 year old prefers things she sees on tv. Cars & trucks are always fun for little boys though.

Hi Kelly! It's good to see you! Please share pictures of your new classroom with us when you get it all set up. I'd love to see it, I bet it will be awesome!
My nephew who is 3 (well I guess he's 4 now ) loves Thomas the Train, and anything cars!
I know that my 'almost' 2 year old is into Bob the Builder and any type of transportation!
But then, we haven't really done the whole pirate thing with either kids yet. Is there a way you can find out what he is into?
