Making cards without a circuit?

I am a digi girl through and through and am not thinking about switching to paper, but there is a new store in town with a tiny little scrapbooking section and I decided to check it out the other day. They have some really beautiful stuff. It looks like they have great stuff for making cards so I was thinking of trying to make a couple. But I was wondering if it is worth it to try without a circuit. Can I make nice cards with just a pair of scissors? lol

If so, does anyone have any examples of cards I can make without a circuit? I would love to see them and see if I can lift some ideas. The first one I would like to try is for my MIL birthday mid April. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Yes! It is possible. I don't have a cricut so all of my stuff is obviously made without it. I use stickers, rub-ons, ribbon and stamps though.

Here are a some that I have in photobucket right now.

These were all made with recycled cards. Then I just added a few other things to make them complete.

I don't have a cricut either though I've only ever made 2 different cards before its very doable.

Oh yeah, a lot of the paper girls on here make fantastic cards without a Cricut. Infact, most of mine you could do without a Cricut...you'd just substitute a stamp or some embellishment where the cut is. That would be great if you started making cards. I could also send you any Cricut cuts you'd want!

Some favorite cards of mine, I didn't use the Cricut, so YES! It can be done! I can't wait to see what you come up with if you decide to! Biggrin

Kelly, don't forget to consider hybrid. You can print out your phrases and pictures on your pretty paper. I've been looking into this, I'm really ready for a new way of doing cards.

All of my cards of cricut less. If I don't have a stamp and I'm worried about my writing, I print what I want to say and then cut it out and glue that on.

My cricut is currently broken (I still haven't gotten it fixed)
But here is what I have done without it. Or what I've taken pics of.

I've done a lot more that I haven't taken pics of, but it's absolutely do-able.

I do that a lot too. I do use my cricut for cards, but really only about half the time. You got some good examples here - if you want more, I'll go dig in photobucket, but I'm trying to multitask like crazy right now.

I bet you'll make some AWESOME cards!
