Making a journal

For those of you who are super creative (as I wish I was) how do you make journals? Do you start out with one in the basic colors and move from there or do you make one from scrapping paper and cardboard?

I wish I could help you but I'm not super creative either Sad
Have you tried googling some tutorials?

I found this in the Paper Scrapbooking Thread (stickied) at top....I don't know if this is what you are looking for?

I would start with a regular inexpensive journal purchased somewhere like Walmart and go from there!

I would also start with a plain journal and go from there.

Yeah I just saw a tutorial on this and I thought, I can do that. I'll take pics.

the link that charys provided is a simple composition book that you can find in any walmart or office supplies or general store..... ac moore and the dollar store also have some cheap journals that you can alter like that.

You could even use an older used journal that you no longer need to don't have a use for.

can't wait to see what you come up with.... i have a couple journals in my box of items to be altered. I absolutely love this idea.

I really like what I came up with. I'll show you pics when I finish which should be tonight. It's a composition book but it's completely recovered and stickered to be far more personal.

My cousins birthday was the other day and I shamelessly forgot so I made my first journal for her. Her name is Kate but she's always signed it K8 so that's what I put on there for her.
