Default making your own glue dots

Anyone ever done this? I tried it this weekend and so far they work great and I can see it saving a lot of money if you use them a lot. You just squeeze a dot of Aleenes Tack it over and over again onto some wax paper and wait for them to dry ( took a while, maybe 8 hours or so) and they work just like zots. You can make them as big or small as you need them. I made some small ones for buttons and some lines for ribbon. I got the glue at Michaels a while back with a coupon and made at least 100 dots yesterday and it didn't even put a dent in how much glue is in that bottle so it should save some money for anyone trying to cut back on scrappy expenses. Zots are expensive. At least here they are.

Here is a video on how to do it, though it is pretty simple.

It should. I made some much bigger than planned, because I didn't pay attention to how much I was squeezing out and it definitely gives a lot of dimension to some of the cards I did yesterday.

Wow! Awesome tip!! I have a bunch right now but I am so stingy about using them because I didn't want to buy more. TFS!

Wow, that's so cool! you can bet I'll be doing this! I wonder if they carry that stuff in Walmart? I'm going to look. If not I'll order it online. Thanks so much for sharing this with us.

They do not carry it at our walmart. I have looked dozens of times, because it is also good for re-clinging acrylic stamps. I can't find it anywhere but Michaels. They have a bunch of other Aleens products, but not that one and I did try one of the other Aleens products ( just tacky glue, but not tack it over and over) and it did NOT work for these, so be sure to use repositional kind.
