Mother's Day Plans

What do you all have planned for Mother's Day? I know this question was in our check-in thread, but it'd be fun to see it all here in one place.

We are leaving first thing tomorrow morning for Ft. Worth. We'll stay with my inlaws until Sunday evening then drive home. I'm looking forward to spending some time with everyone up there. Smile

I hope you all have the most wonderful Mother's Day ever sweet friends!!!

We have company coming this weekend, they have a daugher the same age as Kaitlyn (9 days apart). We'll likely go swimming Sunday during the discounted time (11-1 it's only $2 instead of $7.50). Not sure what time they're leaving, but I'm hoping to see my mom at some point too, they've been in Toronto all week.

No set plans here. My Mom will be coming here when Mason arrives, so unless he arrives in the next couple days, I won't see her til after Mother's Day. I obviously can't be traveling at this point, my parents live 200 miles away.

But I made my first cards last night! One for my Mom and one for my MIL. Will post pictures in a new thread later!

Kevin is on the road, but he did pick out a very nice hanging flower basket as my gift.

Karl and I will go to church and then were taking a drive with my mom and she's treating us to lunch.

No plans here. My mother is about 5000 miles away so there's not much chance of a visit. But I am happy to be spending a nice day with my guys.

ETA: I was so excited that Tristan brought home a little mother's day gift they made in preschool. My first mother's day gift from my own kids. Smile

:bigarmhug: Ashley. I can't even imagine, and you too Shannon!!

Aren't those homeade items the best Kelly? That's the one thing I miss about Austin being in daycare, all the cool things they used to make for us on holidays and often just because. Smile

We only have two weeks left before our move so I'm not sure what we'll do besides continue packing and loading. I hope we'll at least get a bit of a break to spend not doing that, I'd love to go to dinner. But my fave places are 80 miles away, so that might not be an option. Smile
My own mom and DH's mom live 1000 miles away, so we had to mail their gifts. But I got them some neat things through Snapfish...I LOVE that website!!

Hope you all have a wonderful Mothers Day!!

recovering. I was slightly sick Sunday night and into Monday. Anna was very ill Sun-Wednesday. Caleb and Katie were slightly sick Monday and Tuesday. Then dh got it Thursday. Now DH and I both have it BAD right now. So our goal is simply to be well enough to complete the bulletin, hubby finish the sermon, and have church.

It will be my first mother's day too as a mom so that's kind of exciting. It also my brother's birthday so we as a family try to make the day about him too. My side of the family is getting together and having a crableg dinner. Not sure if we will do brunch or something with DH's mom.

we're doing a family photo shoot, and DH is going to do his best at being coorperative and patient. Lol and then we're going out to lunch. my parents will arrive late afternoon and we're going to grill our dinner and hopefully eat outside on the furniture I got for Mother's Day last year.

This reminds me... because I've always been my kid's teacher's... this is the first year I received a mother's day gift that I didn't design and create for the kids to make and take home myself. I always had my preschoolers do this, but didn't realize how powerfully awesome it is to receive it until I had nothing to do with the gifts I received. Quite an incredible feeling.
