Default My first clay creations... (ot but crafty)

This is why I have not gotten 1 page done in awhile. I kinda stopped. (oops) Need to finish DS's 1 year at least! I have been watching tutorials on how to make miniature food and googling it like crazy lately. Anyways, I was sooo anxious to get over to the hobby store today so DH took me after dinner and let me shop for some stuff. I had to order a kit of clay though because it has some tools in it as well as more than 1 color clay. It has 9 colors in it for me to try out. I HAD to buy something while I was there though because that kit isnt coming til Wednesday! I can't wait that long!! lol So I bought a bit of a tan colored clay, white and translucent. I bought some glossy stuff for on top of it but I really want to get something thicker. I'm not sure (Tia that one glossy stuff you bought, how thick is it?? Just wondering ) Sooo here I am way past my bedtime and I just finished baking them and painting them. They are still drying. I can't wait to do more! I am painting the little "plate" I made tomorrow. It is not that great though I'll be posting more creations on my facebook if anyone is interested in seeing more. Anyways!! Here are the first things I made. A chocolate donut, a glazed donut, and some sort of bread. They aren't that great but I am quite proud. I'll be making more donuts tomorrow! Its gonna be a rainy day! hehehe

let me know if you can see this picture. I'll post a better picture tomorrow. And I'll touch these ones up a bit since they were still wet when I took this picture

    thanks for looking

eta: this is also the reason why i have not been around pg.org lately

well..as soon as I get more colors and materials to work with i'll be making little things like magnets for my fridge or just little decorations to put somewhere in my house or little plates of food (like waffles and pancakes with butter and syrup ) for a dollhouse. I'll just collect them, make a display or something. I'll send some to my mom too probably I'm so excited to make more things! I wish I could have bought more colors but I'll be getting more wednesday or thursday.

The food you're so spot on with! Really professional job with those. I agree that the plate is a little dinky. But gol, that is just so cool!!!! I really hope you keep sharing pictures here because I really enjoyed these.

thanks ladies! hopefully i'll just keep improving DH took me to the hobby store again today (yay!!!) so I could buy more paints and 3 more colors of clay. I am still buying my kit next week though. I ordered a kit with quite a few colors in it. I showed him my loaf of bread this morning and he was quite impressed and told me to make tacos and the fixins for him. lol I definitely will when i get the right colors. and I do plan on sharing more of my creations on here if you all don't mind. lol

eta: and do you know how much weight i'm losing by doing this hobby? it takes up so much of my time in the evenings that I don't even snack on anything. That and the whole table is full of clay and brushes and chalk and paints and stuff there is no room for food anywhere.
