My scrapbook room UPDATED AT BOTTOM W/CHAIR PIC

I know you all have seen my room/porch before but I added a video cause I need your help. I do like the things I have in my room but when you walk in from the front door you see this big empty spot. The spot I am talking about is under the u/s pic and lo. I go up and down with the camera on this spot. Any idea's of what to put there. The only thing I can think of is a bookshelf. I wanted a nice sitting chair with a throw in there but I don't see anywhere it could fit so I am thinking of a trunk with pillows over it under the shelf with the jars. Like I said I need idea's lol TIA

First a pic of when you walk in... see that big ugly empty spot lol

This is the spot where I want to add a bench or trunk under the jars

I added labels to my paper holders using Ali Edward's font. I still have to redo that cabinet

I also put some of my pages on display cause after all it is a scrapbooking room lol

Tyson brought me in a flower today and said here mom cause I love you. He picked it from my neighbors garden!!!!!! I did not have the heart to yell at him

Finally the video sorry it is a little dark in spots

I would put the trunk with pillows under the u/s pics. Or you could put your comfy chair there. It looks to be pretty narrow under the shelf.

Plus then I think when you walk in you would immediately see a cozy spot and feel at home. The plus to having a trunk would be to hide more stuff;)

First, what an awesome space! I'm super jealous! Plenty of light, you can look outside and it's so darn cute I can't stand it. Wink

I'd definitely put a chair there! Something inviting and cozy! Plus if Jazz or one of your other kids wanted to sit and chat with you while you scrapped that would be perfect for them.

And I LOVE the video you made. Smile It made me feel like I'd walked into the room. TFS!

I would add a comfy chair or maybe an old rocker. The bench/chest would be good storage if you needed to store albums and such but I think I remember that you have some built in shelves.

If you don't need storage, do you have a green thumb? I think a plant would grow super well with all the sunlight!

ooooooh, that chair would look so pretty in your room. Too bad it has to be so much moolah. Sad No idea what it's called, but maybe you can find something like that much cheaper. Have you tried Target? They've always got some of the cutest things for your home.

Oh what is that chair. I know it but I can't remember it. I see them offerered on Freecycle a lot but they almost all need recovering. How are you at re upholstering?

That is a cute chair....what would you be willing to pay for it? Maybe you could make an offer and see if they accept.

Not too bad, I also have a friend that does it. I have never looked on freecycle is that like a free craigs list? I was thinking either one like that or a larger one with arms to throw pillows on???

Charys, I have not tried target but I will look. My entire town has the town rummage on the 16th so hopefully I can find something there. fingers crossed.

freecycle ROCKS! yeah, it's kinda like a free craigslist (craigslist also has a free section, have you ever checked it out?) I'm on freecycle (giving and receiving) all of the time! www.freecycle.org

you can always make a lower offer on that chair to see if you can get it cheaper. I've done that and been successful.

I can't watch your video right now, my eyes are burning I'm so tired!! but I will look tomorrow. Wink

I thought of that but it is $100.00 and I wanted something cheap like around 30 to 40$ she said she paid $600.00 for it ???? Not sure if that is true?

Gwen, do you have to be a member at freecycle? Thanks for the link!
