Need ideas-what to make for a child?

Hi all! It's a bit early to think about Christmas, I know. But since I'm making everyone's gifts this year I have to start now. Anyhow, I need some suggestions on what to make for a child-a 6 year old boy.

I'm doing some altered tins, exploding boxes and shaker boxes for the adults. But no idea what to make for a little boy. I will just buy him something if I can't come up with anything homemade but I was wondering if any of you could suggest something?

Thanks!

Is he into trading cards? You could make something to hold his cards.

Or is he into a certain sport? GiGi made these awesome posters from her little guys sports (there's a post somewhere). Or some pages about a sports hero along with some pages of the little guy playing the same sport?

Or alter something to use as a Hot Wheels (or other toys) carrier?

Just a few ideas, but I don't know if any of them would work. Good luck!

a matching game? I made these for a boy I babysat for a few years ago. Sorry the picture is a little blurry.

I just used chipboard and put a picture of him on one side and a matching pattern on the back of each.

What a GREAT and simple idea! I can see how a child would LOVE this!! It could be so veristile too - you could make so many different themes (the teacher in me thinking).

No advice here. I really like Angie's idea though! I might be stealing that too!
