So I made 2 cards yesterday that I love! They must have been super creative since I haven't scrapped or done cards in a while. They are both bday cards for my grandma who is turning 80 on Sunday. One is from DH and me so it is more fancy, grown up looking, and the other is a cute one from DS. I already took pics, but the camera is upstairs in DS's room, and I DARE not interrupt the nice nap he is having Will post pics last this afternoon when he is up...and I will update the title to say "with pics" I am posting this now to remind myself to post pics later. I have done so many LOs and cards lately that I just haven't shared with you ladies, because I forget to upload pics and post about them. I guess it is a amazing enough that I actually have time to scrap/make cards...
this one I made with alphalicious cart. for the crown and letters
the inside says "Grandma- May you enjoy the royal treatment on your special day. happy 80th birthday"
the balloons are from George cart. and I used embroidery floss for the strings, the monkey is from New Arrival cart. I inked the edges of the monkey (and actually this monkey I cut out another time but never used it...just had it stowed away in an envelope of unused cuts). I stamped "happy birthday" but the stamp didn't take well, so I went over it with marker (that is the only thing I don't like about this card.
I might use the same design (either with a monkey or a different animal) for DS's 1st birthday announcements...if I can muster that much time with the strings for the balloons, cutting the animal pieces out...we will see!
