    Default a new lo...

Here is my newest lo. I STILL need to print off some pics so that I can do some paper scrapping.

I want some advice. I am getting plain again. I go through stages. This is so simple and plain. Any advice as to what YOU would do? I want to know!

I really like it, especially the lettering.

Mybe an orange accent of some kind, that matches you dotty paper. Maybe three orange flowers that are applied to your page in a triangle shape - one on the left side of the top photo, one on top of the bottom photo and one to the left of the bottom photo. They will draw your eye around the LO and emphasize the photos and title.

    Looks great!!

First bdays are ones I try to get progressions of photos in. I like to get lots of shots of eating the cake or playing with the favorite toy or something like that. But sometimes simplicity is key too. This turned out really cute I think.

Hmmmm... I like the colors on it! And with the busy background paper, I don't think you really need too much else... Maybe some drop shadows to make it more 3d looking?

I think simple works, and the page is cute. however, if it was my page, I would do one of two things. I'd either change the tittle to "Ruthie's 1st birthday cake" or I would include other shots from the birthday to celebrate her turning 1. Her eating cake by itself doesn't work with the title of Ruthie turning 1. That's just my opinion though. I do like the paper and ribbons and your letter tags.

I like very simple layouts myself - so I don't find this 'too simple' at all... However, I do admit, I liked the suggestion of adding some orange flowers - maybe even add those, and take out the clips you have on the photos.

Thanks for all the ideas and comments ladies! I plan on doing 2 more pages along with this one. I plan on throwing in one of her opening presents, and maybe the big presents she got. I planned on it being a 2-3 page lo. I will look and see if I have anything orange to go with it. Thanks!
