    Default new - tips?

hi, my name is LJ and this is my first post here. I have been thinking about scrapbooking for a while and right now i'm interested in doing a single page that I'm going to frame. Last week DH and I had the worst day of our lives together so far when we had to make the terrible decision to let our cat go who had been diagnosed with final stages kidney failure at a fairly young age.

I have decided that I'd like to frame a bunch of pictures but rather been stuck with pre-set frames I will make my own scrapbook style and frame it. I can't afford to invest in too much right now as this will be my first project and future ones will have to wait a few months.
i was wondering if free digital ones are a good way to play around with ideas or is it totally different.

    any advice?
    thanks

The digital scrappers on here might be able to give you some great ideas, but if you want to paper scrap, you can keep it real simple by just putting a matte around the picture in maybe a solid color and put the pictures on one piece of colored cardstock. You can find frames that are actually pretty nice for only 2 bucks at Walmart! And you can just buy a few items, if you want to keep the cost down. I will see if I can find a pic of a few frames I've done as gifts and post them for ideas.

    Oh and WELCOME!!!!

ETA: This is a frame I made for my twin for Christmas. You can always put more than one photo and make it more of a collage, but this is one of those $2 frames from Walmart.

    I like what Charys did.

Digital or paper scrapping is a personal choice. Either one can look really nice. I've done several digital for frames. This is the only one I could find on my computer. It looks really nice in the frame at my mom's house.
