Nursery Ideas Wanted

Over time, I've seen a decent number of beautiful/cute handmade nursery projects: wall hangings, lamps, and more. Since our gender scan is next week, I'm starting to get excited about maybe picking a theme. I'm not that artistic and not a good decorator so I need all the help I can get. I thought if you all wanted to post pictures of fun things you have made, it might give me ideas. Show me everything! Wink

This is easy for me. I would do an owl nursery. Girls would be easier on this b/c I have seen some adorable stuff that would go with it at Target. I just did a google images search for owl nursery and pulled up all sorts of neat stuff! IT would be easy b/c you could get Hoot 'N Holler cartridge and go to town!

I feel like a lurker around here now Sad but I wanted to respond and say how excited I am for your gender scan. I will definitely be sending some major OLVs your way next week!

I love the owl idea, owls are so cute and I'm sure that cartridge is perfect!

I will add my own nursery pics incase it gives you some inspiration but nothing on them is really a small project kind of thing so I don't know how helpful it will be. Maybe the colors or something will spark something. With DD's nursery I picked my colors first and built the theme around that since my mom is awesome and made custom bedding for her:

I found it really easy to put small accents on the white furniture to tie in the color theme.

I know I have posted DS's before but I'll throw them here too, they were buried way back in my photobucket album, LOL.

What Andrea?! How come I never remember you sharing your girl's nursery?! OMG, it's amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for nurseries, if we'd have had a girl, I would have definitely done birds. I would have bought some old-fashioned bird cages and painted them white and done a simple "bird" nursery. With Cohen we stuck with Kayson's room and the planes theme. Though I reallly want to re-do their room soon.

Good luck with the scan! Can't wait to hear the results. What does mommy think he/she is?

Hmmm. Hard to say. I'm kind of hoping for another girl, but kind of thinking boy.

Charys, do you still have the pictures of the items you added to the nursery? I framed picture of planes and the lamp I believe. I'd love to see them again.

Andy, love the blue room with pink accents. We will be making all our bedding, curtains, etc. as well.

Thanks for some ideas (more still welcome). It just helps to have the inspiration.
